[Chabad.org]( [View Online]( ב"ה [Celebrating 70 Years]( A world of goodness... By the Grace of G-d Dear Reader, The world will never be the same. Seventy years ago today, 10 Shevat on the Jewish calendar (this year Feb. 5), leadership of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement was thrust upon the shoulders of the Rebbe, [Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson]( of righteous memory. In the ensuing decades, the Rebbe daringly led the charge of a post-Holocaust renaissance of the Jewish people; infused optimism, meaning and purpose into the lives and actions of countless individuals; and charted a revolutionary social vision for the world at large, a vision that grows more palpable and resonant each year. However, from the very beginning, the Rebbe taught that every one of us need answer the call to become a leader: in our own homes, workplaces, communities, and wider spheres of influence. Today is thus a day to act, a time to recommit to our own mission, to advance and actualize the vision the Rebbe laid out for us all.
