Tonight and tomorrow marks the 11th day of the Jewish month of Nissan, anniversary of birth of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory. [Chabad.org]( By the Grace of G-d Thursday, 10 Nissan - April 18, 2024 Dear Friend, Tonight and tomorrow marks the 11th day of the Jewish month of Nissan — the anniversary of the birth of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory. All across the globe people will be marking this day with reflection and resolutions to [increase humanity’s dedication to education]( especially its morals and ethics. The centrality of this reflection in ensuring a healthy, functioning society is magnified in the resolutions issued annually on this date by the President of the United States, both houses of Congress, all 50 state governors, and leaders of government across the globe. In the spirit of this significant day, and in light of our gratitude and prayers to G-d for the miraculous defense of the Holy Land against an aggressive and murderous assault in the beginning of this week, we’d like to share with you a few abridged insights compiled from the Rebbe’s teachings: - First and foremost: Recognize the miracles! Military planners are astounded by the statistical improbability of the 99% interception rate we all experienced last Shabbat and Sunday. Even more inexplicable are the 50 PERCENT additional missiles that were set to lob at the Holy Land, G-d forbid, only to fail at launch or mid flight! And many more miracles are currently known only to a select few “in the know”… - Thank G-d for His miracles – we mustn’t let this recognition give way to the foolish and dangerous notion that “my own power and the might of my hand” ([Deuteronomy 8:17]( brought all this about… - Celebrate the miracles! Even amid our searing pain and fervent prayer to G-d to perform additional miracles for our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land — particularly that He protect and safely return all the soldiers sacrificing themselves for others and all the hostages still suffering at their tormentors’ hands -- our hearts are big enough to simultaneously celebrate each miracle, joyously and enthusiastically. - In his pastoral letters on the topic, the Rebbe teaches us subsequently to draw lessons to our own lives — to each create our own miracles by acting miraculously: We must stretch ourselves to grow even higher than our normal behavior. And when we do, G-d will surely reciprocate with even more miracles. Passover is all about educating and passing on the teachings, values, history, and stories to the next generation. The Torah says ([Exodus 10:2]( “And in order that you should tell into the ears of your children and grandchildren… and you will [all] know that I am your G‑d.” So in this season of education and miracles, as millions around the world prepare for Passover, we warmly invite you to participate in three key initiatives at Chabad.org: - The Passover Appeal — [click here]( to help people globally prepare for Passover.
