Hey {NAME} — this week I had a tough decision to make. Hey {NAME} - this week I had a tough decision to make. My finance director Blakely is burning the midnight oil to raise enough money to keep us going before our FEC End-of-Quarter Filing Deadline on March 31st, but she needs help. That’s why we want to bring on another member of our finance team ASAP. But with where our fundraising numbers are right now, it wasn’t in the budget. So I had to make a tricky decision: If we didn’t start hiring for this role, Blakely wouldn’t have the help she needed - but hiring right away would send us into the red, and we’d have to count on our grassroots supporters to help us raise the money needed to catch up. Fortunately, a group of passionate Democrats came together and pledged to double match every single donation through our FEC deadline on March 31st. So, I decided to take a risk and tell Blakely to move forward with the hiring process. But now I am turning to you, and asking if you’d pitch in a $50 donation before our March 31 FEC deadline that will be doubled. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
