Get ready to learn how to start a movement. Activist University {NAME}, How you feeling right now? Need a little inspiration? My name is Miranda and I run Activist University powered by Care2, the online training center for activists. With everything that's happened in the past week, I know a lot of us all over the world are feeling hopeless or directionless. But take heart. [Because I want to personally invite you, as one of Care2's newest members, to join us for an uplifting live Q&A that will teach you how to use your power.] On November 29th, we're going to feature two leading grassroots activists on Activist University, and they're going to teach you how to elevate your voice in this moment of need. They'll even teach you how to start a movement. During this month's Activist University webinar, I'm going to introduce you to Xiuhtezcatl Martinez and Michael Eisele. They are incredible young people who have launched their own causes – and then turned their causes into something big. - Xiuhtezcatl is 16-year-old an Indigenous climate activist who helps lead the conservation organization Earth Guardians. He's spoken before the UN and, oh, did I mention he's a hip hop artist? - Michael is a 19-year-old human rights activist who launched the #FreeKesha movement to help pop star Ke$ha fight back against her sexually abusive record producer. His campaign has been featured in prominent news outlets like Rolling Stone. Don't miss your chance to join us for a LIVE Q&A with Xiuhtezcatl and Michael! [RSVP now to reserve your free seat at this special edition of Activist University.] Here are the details: - Webinar: [How to Build a Viral Movement] - Date: Tuesday, November 29 - Time: 4pm Eastern Time (9pm Greenwich Mean Time) - We recommend that you use Firefox or Chrome on a desktop computer in order to attend.
