Celebrate the women in your life and all the ways #SheLeadsTheWorld.   [Watch this reel on Instagram](   [CARE](   Meet Jackiline Amina, the auto mechanic of Kakuma refugee camp [Man working on car](   Jackiline Amina, 39, is a trailblazing mechanic in Kenya’s Kakuma Refugee Camp, whose courage and determination are a testament that women are just as capable in the workshop as men. “There is discrimination because sometimes when people bring their cars [for repairs], men say: You can’t do it. I say: I will. I’ll show you that a woman can do it,” Jackiline says.   “When I began working with men, there was a lot of discouragement. People said: You are a woman, you cannot manage. You are not strong and you are petite.”   Two years ago, she went to a welding workshop with the goal to learn a new skill. But the men there refused to train her… a woman. But as a double refugee – having fled conflict twice in her life – and a resilient mother who would do anything to provide for her children, her courage and determination were stronger than the discrimination she faced. “People told me a lot of negative things,” she says. “I did not listen.” She found an owner of a garage who agreed to train her. She showed up every day learning the technical and practical skills of the job. “I was focused. I didn’t change my mind.”   [Man standing in workshop](   Now, Jackiline wakes up daily at 4AM to prepare a meal for her children and get them ready for school. She walks thirty minutes to the garage and is often the first person to arrive every day.   “Even though this work is difficult, I’ve decided to do it, and I do it with courage.”   Her goal is to enroll in an official training program or mechanics school to learn more and secure a higher-paying job. “I want to be an example to other women. Everything is possible. Women can do anything.”     [She Leads the World](   #SheLeadsTheWorld from car garages to classrooms, refugee camps to government leadership.   CARE supports refugees in Kenya near the southern border with food, water, hygiene, and education.
