[View it online.]( 4X Emergency Match is active – [Give now.](   {NAME}, horrific conflict around the world is putting innocent lives at risk. In Gaza, almost 70% of the people who have been killed are women and girls. With winter cold and freezing temperatures in many crisis zones around the world, displaced families need shelter, hygiene items, drinking water and more. [We’re asking everyone to please give right now – if you do, a 4X emergency match multiplies your impact to help reach families affected by crisis everywhere.](   [4X Emergency Match – Give Now](     [CARE](   War + Winter + no Water   is a triple threat to innocent lives caught in the crossfire of conflict.   [Closeup of young girls face](   [4X Emergency Match – Give Now](   *Since the Israel-Gaza conflict erupted on October 7, approximately 18,000 people have lost their lives and more than 41,000 people have been injured. The effects of the crisis are reverberating across the Middle East region.   [The Triple threat facing families right now: War, Winter, no Water](   How your gift to CARE reaches those impacted by conflict, including in Gaza   To date*, we’ve distributed 21 truckloads of aid. For the next few months, our teams will prioritize the following activities:   • Water: One of the most pressing issues facing the population in Gaza right now is a severe shortage of safe water. Clean drinking water is critical for displaced families here and in dozens of other crisis zones.   • Hygiene: Emergency hygiene kits with essential supplies can cover the basic hygiene needs of a family for 30 days. Dignity kits are needed for women and girls to provide them with basic items that protect their health and dignity.   • Health: Conflict impacts health infrastructure and services. In Gaza, for example, basic medical supplies like medications, bandages and blood reserves are nearly depleted. To date, CARE has reached 46,000 people through the provision of medical supplies and medicine to three health facilities in Gaza, in coordination with the Health Cluster (led by the World Health Organization/WHO).   • Shelter and Essential Non-Food Items: When families have nowhere to go, basic shelter kits provide them with materials such as bedding sets, kitchen sets and washing sets to ensure that displaced families experience safe and dignified living conditions during these trying times.   No matter where in the world crisis, conflict, and disaster strike – from Ukraine to Ethiopia, Sudan to Gaza – CARE is there. We save lives, change lives, and help women and families protect their own futures. We stand beside those in crisis and remain dedicated to our vision of a world where all people live with dignity and security.
