[One-third of Pakistan is under water](   The situation: 2,200 miles of roads, 162 bridges, 662,000 houses have been damaged, and over 287,000 houses have been completely destroyed. Families are losing everything they love and own. More than 1,100 people have died and more rain is expected to come. The monsoon season could last for another month still. The injustice: Pakistan is responsible for less than 1% of global greenhouse emissions, yet it’s among the top 10 most vulnerable countries to climate change. The impact of flooding right now is that 33 million people are affected, including 650,000 pregnant women in the area.   Food, hygiene items, and tents are the top needs for thousands of people who’ve lost everything.   CARE is distributing emergency aid – including food baskets, hygiene kits, temporary shelters and tarps, child survival baskets, and emergency latrines.
