CakeFest speaker submissions are now open! CakePHP 4 Strawberry [View this email in your browser]( Looking for CakeFest 2021 speakers! Have a topic that you would like to share with the community? We are now taking talk submissions at [CakeFest.org](. The conference is VIRTUAL - so no travel needed! We would love to have you (or your team) on our speaker lineup for 2021. Virtual CakeFest 2021 Date: October 7-8 Time: 12:00 PM UTC Have any questions? Contact us [HERE](mailto:cakefest@cakephp.org). [CakePHP 3.9.8]( Highlights: - The changes made to TableLocator::get() in 3.9.7 were reverted as issues were opened as plugins rely on shallow initialization loops. Contributors: ADmad, othercorey [CakePHP]( Highlights: - bin/cake routes check no longer fails when redirect routes are used. - Improved API documentation and method annotations. - The variable replacement behavior was aligned between the sprintf and icu message formatters. This change was a backport from 4.x. - Aligned Entity::isEmpty() and Entity::hasValue() to treat '0' as a non-empty value. This aligns the behavior with documentation and original intent. Contributors: ADmad, Corey Taylor, Marc Würth, Mark Story, mtak3, ndm2, othercorey, Waldemar Bartikowski [CakePHP]( Highlights: - Fix bin/cake routes check not handling redirect routes correctly. - Removed a connection flag from the SQLServer driver that is incompatible with pdo_sqlsrv 5.9+. - Improved API documentation. - Console TableHelper now accepts integers and floats as cell values. Contributors: ADmad, AdmDevelopment, Alexander Volle, Mark Story, mirko-pagliai, mtak3, ndm2, othercorey Featured CakePHP Plugin [CakePHP I]( Helper]( The main idea is to improve IDE compatibility and use annotations to make the IDE understand the "magic" of CakePHP, so you can click through the class methods and object chains as well as spot obvious issues and mistakes easier. Features: - Add annotations to existing code (e.g. when upgrading an application) just like baking would to new code. - Can run multiple times without adding the annotations again. - It can also replace or remove outdated annotations. - Works with your application as well as any loaded plugin. - CI check support, hook it up just like the coding standards check. WANT TO SEE A SPECIFIC PLUGIN FEATURED? SEND IT TO US [HERE](mailto:community@cakephp.org?subject=Please%20feature%20this%20plugin).
