In some cases, it’s crystal clear which app is draining your phone’s battery. If you stream music all day, for instance, you can probably point the finger at your go-to audio streaming app. But if you switch between several apps, it can be harder to tell which deserves the blame when your phone dies in the mid-afternoon. Luckily, there’s an easy way to figure out which app is the guilty party. Go to Settings > Battery, then look below the Battery Usage charts. Under Battery Usage By App, you’ll see an ordered list of your apps’ battery usage over the last 24 hours. To see battery usage over a longer time frame, tap the Last 10 Days tab. The list can also identify which apps are draining your battery by running in the background. With this information, you can decide which apps you may want to use less frequently (or delete entirely!) Android Users: You can learn about your apps' battery usage by going to Settings > Battery > Usage Details.
