Luckily, there’s an easy way to prevent this issue. Before you put a new trash bag in the can, put a few sheets of newspaper in both the bottom of the can and in the new bag. The newspaper will absorb liquid as it drips to the bottom of the bag, and the newspaper in the can will catch any liquid that drips through.
