In Today’s Good Thing, I’ll share some simple guidelines for when to replace your makeup to ensure your collection is safe to use. Considering the number of adverse reactions I’ve had involving my eyes (a set of ill-fated eyelash extensions spring to mind), I’ve learned to be a lot more careful about what I put on or near them. That includes my eye makeup, which I've started making an effort to replace at regular intervals. Not all makeup products are clearly marked with “use by” or “best by” dates, but that doesn’t mean they'll last forever. Especially makeup you apply with your fingers, which has an even shorter lifespan than you might think. In order to help make it easier to replace your makeup in a timely manner, I did some research and outlined 12 simple guidelines for getting rid of various types of makeup. Following these guidelines will help ensure that your cosmetics are not only safe to use, but look and perform the way they should too.
