Jillee TODAY'S GOOD THING 10 Corn On The Cob Hacks You Need To Try [Photos of various sweet corn tips.]( Savor sweet corn season with hacks that make corn on the cob more flavorful and less messy. I’ve always been a big fan of sweet corn, and as far as I’m concerned, summer wouldn’t be complete without it! Whether you’re interested in easier cooking methods, quicker preparation, or delicious serving suggestions, you’re sure to find a new favorite tip in this list. I’ve also got some suggestions for kitchen tools that come in handy when you’re making or eating corn on the cob. (Not every gimmicky gadget is created equal, but there are a few worth considering!) Planning your meals around the best deals on meat can add up to significant savings over time. And if you buy extra and freeze it to use later, you can save even more! WASH IT WEDNESDAY Hurry Up And Use The Delay Button [A photo of Jillee putting towels in the washer.]( Neglected wash loads can get musty in a hurry, but it’s a problem with a simple solution. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started a load of laundry after dinner and forgotten to put it in the dryer before bed. (The figure isn’t high enough to call it my “signature move,” but it’s certainly higher than I'd like it to be.) It’s not so much the forgetfulness that’s problematic—it’s the fact that wet laundry I've left in my washer overnight doesn't often smell very clean by the time I remember it’s in there. Luckily, I’ve figured out a workaround that I only wish I’d figured out sooner: using the delay button. Most washing machines have a delay button that will delay the wash cycle in 1-hour increments, all the way up to 12-24 hours depending on the washer. Now I can delay those evening wash loads to start in the early morning, so that once I’m up and ready for the day, I can transfer a freshly-washed load to the dryer instead of one that’s been sitting in the washing machine all night. If you tend to forget about wash loads too, give this a try! BEAUTY The Merits Of Multi-Masking [A photo of Jillee applying a skincare mask.]( Instead of relying on one facial mask, try a more customizable approach. A sheet mask can be a convenient option for addressing a specific skin concern, but what if you have different skin concerns in different areas? Many people have an oily “T zone” (forehead, nose, and chin), but struggle with dryness in other areas, but a one-size-fits-all sheet mask can only target one of those issues. In that regard, wash-off masks are a more versatile option because you can use them to “multi-mask,” or apply more than one mask to different areas of your face at the same time. For example, you could apply a [clay mask]( to oily areas of your skin to help regulate oil production, then apply a [moisturizing mask]( to dry patches and leave both on for 10 minutes before cleansing. Much more efficient than a single mask! WHAT IN THE WORLD WIDE WEB Feast Your Eyes On Foodgawker [An image of a laptop screen showing the Foodgawker website.]( Few forms of photography are more deceptively difficult than food photography. Even the most delicious foods can look downright gross in photos, so if you want your food to look as good as it tastes, you need a talented photographer. (Every time I share a new recipe, I’m grateful all over again for our photographer Kaitlyn!) When food photography is done right, it brings the food to life for the viewer, and that’s the idea behind [Foodgawker](. It’s sort of like a food-only version of Pinterest.
