Welcome to Jillee's Friday Favorites! Each Friday I share some of my current faves in food, fashion, fun, and anything else I happen to be crushing on that week! I hope you enjoy! - Jillee What I'm Reading... [The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah] Why I Love It: Looking for a great summer read? If you love stories that take place against the dramatic backdrop of WWII as much as I do…you’ll love [this book]. It chronicles the lives of two sisters, Vianne and Isabelle, and what they must endure during the Nazi invasion of war-torn France. Their parallel stories are as different as their personalities, but both are suspenseful, complicated, and emotional. A heartbreakingly beautiful story! I really hope they make a movie out of it. 5 stars from me! What I'm Shopping For... Fall Clothes at the [Nordstrom Anniversary Sale] Why I Love It: This is one of the biggest sales of the year and one I always look forward to! The [Anniversary Sale] offers brand new fall items at incredible discounts. You'll find cozy sweaters, great denim, beautiful coats, gorgeous boots and booties and more! The sale opened for Nordstrom card holders yesterday and is available to everyone else on July 22nd. I've got a full round-up of all my favorites from the sale on my [deals page]! What I'm Eating... [Melon Granitas] Why I Love It: It’s been hot, hot, hot where I live so I’ve been taking advantage of delicious summer melons and making granitas to help stay cool! If you’ve never had one…you have to give them a try! You can find the recipe [right here]. Think refreshing shave ice, but better! Yummy! What I'm Playing... [Pokémon][GO] Why I Love It: If you have kids, you must know about the Pokémon GO craze by now! Even my adult “kids” are obsessed with this game. This mobile game allows players to capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, using GPS and their smartphone camera. My kids are having a blast roaming the city looking for Pokémon, and meeting up with others doing the same. [Download it] and see what all the hype is about… just be forewarned… it’s highly addictive! ;-) What I'm Looking Forward To... My Facebook Live Q&A! Why I Love It: I'm going to be doing my first Facebook Live Q&A on Monday at 11am MST. So I need your questions! They can be about anything you'd like me to answer... DIY's, cleaning, essential oils, blogging, social media, writing etc. Just respond to this email with your questions and I'll pick a few to answer on Monday!
