Atlantic Theater Stage 2 (July 5-31) SAVE 40% ON 'EXPLOSIVE' & 'MOVING' OFF-BROADWAY SHOWS You're invited to attend Potomac Theatre Project's 35th repertory season, in association with Middlebury College, July 5-31, 2022 in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2 in New York City. This season's line-up includes SEX, GRIFT AND DEATH: an evening of three one-act plays (LUNCH by Steven Berkoff, and HOT FUDGE & HERE WE GO by Caryl Churchill), and REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION, which combines Robert Chesley's DOG PLAYS with A VARIANT STRAIN by Jonathan Adler and Jim Petosa. SEX, GRIFT AND DEATH In LUNCH *NYC Premiere*, a woman and man, (ostensibly) strangers, engage in a provocative encounter that forces them to recognize their loneliness. Sexy, rude and funny. HOT FUDGE is an explosive short play about greed and self-invention - a bleak, black comedy. HERE WE GO is written in three brief scenes. The play drifts from conversations among mourners at a post-funeral party to the dying process of (possibly) the man mourned and finally a wordless sequence with a man and his caregiver. “Suffice it to say that the characters in this brief, explosive work are on the gravy train…. rich in bracing theatrical bile.” - Frank Rich, NYTimes “But what Churchill has written is a striking memento mori for an age without faith; and although her play is brief, that in itself evokes the idea that we are here for a short time and then are suddenly gone.” - Michael Billington, The Guardian Save 40% with code 'BWW40' at checkout [GET TICKETS TO SEX, GRIFT AND DEATH]( REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION This pairing of plays sees the AIDS epidemic (DOG PLAYS) as a prologue to the COVID pandemic (A VARIANT STRAIN). By looking back, we see our present with new eyes, deeper understanding and a moment of unexpected healing. "Dog Plays is the strongest, most moving theatrical treatment of AIDS I've ever seen." Lloyd Rose, The Washington Post Save 40% with code 'BWW40' at checkout [GET TICKETS TO REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION]( Performances are Tuesdays - Sundays at 7pm, Saturdays - Sundays at 2pm, and select Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2pm. Schedule varies - for exact days and times, and to purchase tickets, visit [www.PTPNYC.org](. Audience members are required to have proof of full Covid-19 vaccination and wear a mask to be admitted into the venue. PTP/NYC’s Jim Petosa states, “For 35 years, PTP and PTP/NYC has maintained an ever-evolving community of theater-makers of all kinds, who are connected by their sheer will to make mission-driven, provocative productions of plays we care about deeply. It is cause for celebration!” If you do not want to receive any more newsletters, to unsubscribe [click here]( Wisdom Digital Media 1180 Avenue of the Americas 8th Floor New York, New York 10036
