Sun Tzu famously wrote this in The Art of War:  “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”  And while the stakes aren’t quite as dramatic in a basketball game, the same principle holds true–even (and especially) when it comes to transition offense.  Because when you’re playing transition offense, you know what the defense is going to do (AKA, you know the “enemy”).  Their primary goals are to stop the ball, take away the sideline, and protect the rim.  Yet most teams play right into this, essentially taking what the defense gives them and not taking advantage of the fact that they know what the defense will be doing.  They REACT to the defense’s movements and hope they can outplay them by simply going right at their strengths (AKA, they don’t know themselves).  But when you have a specific game plan for transition offense…  One that works regardless of what the defense does…  Suddenly you apply Sun Tzu’s timeless principles and become a much more dangerous threat.  I’m sharing this because yesterday we launched our new product, [Brent Tipton’s 2-Sided Transition Conceptual Break.](  And it’s the perfect antidote to transition struggles that most teams face.  Because it’s not just a play you use once that teams can easily figure out going forward.  Instead, it’s a modern offense utilizing a conceptual approach that allows you to create and score from advantages without being predictable.  These concepts give you a playbook for how to respond to the defense’s game plan…  AND they allow for more player freedom to improvise based on what the defense does. A few of the offensive concepts Coach Tipton teaches you how to use in 2-Sided Transition include: * Stretch Spacing You will learn how to create Stretch Spacing on the side of the court that has 2 offensive players (one in the corner and one at the 45). This Stretch Spacing will put pressure on 1 defender to guard 2 offensive players and create long, difficult closeouts for the defense, often leading to catch and shoot 3’s! * Drive the OBD (Off Balance Defender) Coach Tipton teaches you how to spot the OBD (Off Balance Defender) and the concepts of driving at the OBD to put pressure on the defense and maintain your offensive advantage. *Making Proper Cuts Players don't naturally know when to cut or what the right cut is. Coach Tipton gives detailed on-court explanations of when players should see space, take space, or when they should make a skull cut, after seeing the back of their defender's head. * Getting Offsides Coach Tipton uses soccer terminology to teach players when they should cut toward the basket on a break (getting offsides) vs. when they should get to the corner to create Corner Spacing. * Rim Rules Coach Tipton teaches specific reads players should make to determine if a shot should be taken at the rim or if the ball should be kicked back out to a player in space. When you master these concepts, your team has a response for every action the defense makes.  And as Sun Tzu pointed out over 2500 years ago…  When you know what the defense is going to do and you know what you’re going to do, you’re going to win more games, period.  So if you want to learn more about our new product and take your transition offense to the next level, then click the link below:  [Click here to get our new 2-sided Transition Offense now for just $69 (30% discount expires on Sunday, January 28)](  All the best,  Mark Brase Breakthrough Basketball   This email was sent to {EMAIL} because you indicated that you'd like to receive emails and updates from Breakthrough Basketball on 2016-12-16 05:42:39.
