I know I’ve given you a lot to think about with over the last few days , which is why I want

I know I’ve given you a lot to think about with [the launch of our Relentless Pressure Trapping System]( over the last few days (introductory discount ends tomorrow), which is why I want to take a second and address the 9 most frequently asked questions we’ve received about the program so far.  1 - What is this product?  [Relentless Pressure]( a unique pressure defense that you can use off both makes and misses. Not only does it cause chaos for your opponents when they have the ball, but it also allows you to get much easier, high-percentage shots on offense.  It helped transform Coach Mike Hilmer’s North Linn High School from a mediocre program to one that averages nearly 80 PPG and has made 6 straight State Championship appearances!  Here’s what’s included in the product: - Coach Hilmer’s Innovative Defensive Run, Jump, and Trapping System - 3 Unique Versions of the Press - 20+ Breakdown Drills - How To Press/Trap Off Both Missed AND Made Shots - 10+ Secondary Break Options - How To Shut Down Dominant Players - Half Court Sets vs. Man - Half Court Sets vs. Zone - General Shooting Drills - 2 Live Scrimmages with Key Coaching Points - Whiteboard Breakdown of the Press and All Major Principles - And more! 2 - When can you start to implement your pressure system?  While I recommend this pressure system to ALL levels of high school basketball, it’s also generally doable at the middle school level. At those lower levels, it depends on the size of the program, your players’ basketball IQ, and how involved the program is.  If you’re not practicing consistently, then this system probably won’t work great as it requires repetition to build up the muscle memory on the concepts so your players aren’t thinking as much.  3 - What if your players are not very athletic?  One of the best parts of this system is that it doesn’t rely on superstars or even incredible athleticism. You’re able to cover up any athletic holes that you have on your team with a few simple adjustments. Typically, the best place to put the unathletic players is at the back of the press. If not at the back, put them in the second row where they can scan the court more like a safety in football without having to be overly aggressive. Your most athletic players should be in the first row.  And while don’t expect this to work any miracles… you’re not going to turn a player who can barely walk and talk into the next Jordan… the fact that you constantly sprint and change directions does lead to athletic improvements, especially when you do it throughout your entire high school career.  4 - What should my practices look like with this system?  In Coach Hilmer’s practices, he prioritizes game-like scenarios with extensive scrimmages and specific 4 on 4 and 5 on 5 drills. This approach helps his players quickly adapt to the Relentless Pressure System, especially crucial as they have only two weeks to prepare for their first game.  We’d recommend that you find what works for you by using all the drills in this video as resources, while also making sure to practice in live situations so your players gain more confidence in innovating off the concepts.   5 - How do you teach players that this system has concepts and not rules?  It’s true that certain kids are very cerebral and want to always have a rule for each situation. This generally restricts their freedom, though, and prevents them from reaching their full potential. The best way to handle this is to teach them that playing hard and staying within the concepts (at first) is okay. You don’t want to throw too much at them right away. Reassure them that the other team is going to score sometimes–through no fault of their own!  Then, as the season goes on and they get more comfortable with the concepts, you can slowly wean them off the rigid mindset and encourage them to take more risks–always reminding them that there are no “mistakes” in this system–only learning opportunities.  6 - Does this furious pace help or hurt your offense?  The philosophy on offense is the same as on defense: don’t think! If it’s a good shot for you, take it! (Coach Hilmer actually has some specific shooting drills that help players earn the right to take 3-point shots during games.)  As long as you keep that in mind, the fast pace of play will certainly help your offense.  7 - What happens when you get forced into a half-court game?  No matter how well the press is working, you will run into a team that will break it! That’s why it’s important to also practice your half-court sets in case this happens. If you want help creating your half court sets, there are plenty of examples, walkthroughs, and drills for offensive sets vs. both man and zone in [this system.](  8 - Can you only press off makes?  While most pressure systems teach that you can only press off makes, Relentless Pressure works off both makes and misses! In fact, Coach Hilmer shows you exactly how to apply pressure in both situations so your opponent never gets a break and is always on their heels. And the truth is, If you are only pressing after makes, you are likely pressing less than 1/2 of the game. Meaning you are missing out on a lot of opportunities to apply pressure! This is a great way to double the amount of times you set traps on your opponent.  9 - How long will it take for this pressure system to start working?  You’ll be surprised how much better your players get, even from Day 1 to Day 10 once the initial overwhelm of the pace wears off. And once they get more familiar with the concepts, you can see tremendous growth in terms of how much and how quickly they’ll progress. That’s when you can start to put in tweaks and wrinkles that will make your team’s press much more effective (examples included in the video)!  To give you an example, Coach Hilmer’s team went 22-2 in the very first year implementing this system. While that kind of 180 degree transformation so quickly is rare, it’s certainly possible to make quantum leaps!  I hope that helps clear up any confusion, but feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need further clarification.  If you're ready to embrace a high pressure system that transforms both your defense AND offense, click the link below:  [Explore the Relentless Pressure System now and claim your 30% launch discount [Discount expires TOMORROW at midnight]](  All the best,  Joe Haefner Breakthrough Basketball  This email was sent to {EMAIL} because you indicated that you'd like to receive emails and updates from Breakthrough Basketball on 2016-12-16 05:42:39.
