Discount Extended for Summer Camps - Here’s Why

 Real quick: Our [summer camp 20% early-bird discount]( has been extended to Sunday, April 23rd.  If you’d like to learn about why we’re extending the discount and our “Summer Camp Curse”, you can read below.  I don’t know what the deal is… but the last 3 years when it comes to the summer camp discount, a big mishap occurs.  And the funny thing is, two weeks ago when we were getting our ducks in order, I said, “Alright. This year everything is going great and we’re not extending the deadline.”  So it’s probably my fault.  Two years ago, we had a massive email delivery problem where a big portion of subscribers weren’t made aware of the discount ending.  Last year we accidentally scheduled the discount date on Easter.  And this year…  Up until midweek, our payment system went down for a couple of days and there was a coding error where the discount date was displaying Sunday, April 23 in some areas instead of Sunday, April 16.  Well, you might be thinking… that doesn’t matter. You sent us emails telling us the discount was ending. That means everybody would’ve seen it.  The problem is emails are only a small percentage of our camp traffic. So some people saw it, but not the majority.  The majority of our traffic comes from local facilities, social media, and people who just check our website and mark their calendar with reminders.  And after we saw the emails coming in this morning, we knew the easiest thing to do was… just extend the discount to Sunday, April 23rd.
