As you may have seen yesterday, we have a special offer on [The Triple E Motion Offense](. You can get it for $99 $39 until Thursday, April 29. Well, here’s one of the best things about teaching this offense to your team and why it’s extremely efficient… A lot of coaches will split their practices into: - Skill Development - Offense - Defense - Special Teams: Plays, Press Breakers, Etc. One of the beauties of teaching offense like Tim Schuring is that… You can develop your shooting, ball handling, triple threat moves, and footwork while teaching and developing your offense at the same time! This makes you super efficient, so you can make huge leaps in player development and make huge gains on other teams. And if you’ve been around youth sports for very long… 90% of the time, the team with the best players wins! So here’s how it works: Let’s take this 2v0 offense drill. - Player 1 passes to coach on the wing. Player 1 then fakes in the opposite direction and basket cuts. - As player 1 begins the cut, player 2 takes two steps down towards the lane to simulate making contact with the defender. This also helps with timing, so you're not too close to the first cutter. - Then player 2 cuts to the top of the key. - Coach passes the ball to Player 2 who faces the basket and shoots. (You can adjust distance based on age and skill level.) Now think about what just happened… You got to practice different offensive concepts and ingrain these habits. - When you pass the ball, move! That’s what Player 1 did with the basket cut. - Fill the open spot like Player 2 did. And you got to work on developing your individual offense skills… With Player 2 shooting the ball! You could easily adapt this drill to work on different individual offense skills. You could have Player 2 catch and execute a dribble move then shoot. You could have them practice different finishing moves. The combinations are really endless. You could also add a second basketball to the drill! Then you simply have another player or coach pass to Player 1 when they cut to the basket. That way, you get twice the shooting reps. After that, you could play 2v2 in the same situation with defenders! So now you’re working on applying these same skills and offensive concepts against live defense. You could have each possession start with a pass and a cut. From there, you play live. You could also do this in a 3v3 setting and start each possession after the first pass to the opposite wing to another player. And think about your defense... Now, it’s getting live reps to improve against the offense. If you’re lucky enough to have an assistant coach, they can coach up the defense! Either way, the defense is still getting reps. Now when you take this approach to teaching offense, skill development, and even defense… These small advantages start to add up after each and every practice. Over the course of a season, this turns into an advantage for you! And over multiple seasons, this adds up to a huge advantage over your competition.
