Two of the biggest problems for coaches are… 1 - Motivating players 2 - Working with parents Disagreements often arise. In fact, a poll found that fifty-eight percent of coaches said that they had either considered quitting or had quit because of parents! Here’s the great news... Coach Danny Miles and many other coaches have used his Value Point System to motivate players and squash many playing time issues with parents. Additionally, Coach Miles also credits this player evaluation tool as a major component to his Hall of Fame success…. 1,040 wins and 3 national championships. So why exactly has [Danny Miles’s Value Point System]( stood the test of time - being used with hundreds of different players across multiple decades? By using a quantifiable (numbers-based) evaluation that emphasizes ALL key aspects of player performance, the VPS: - Gives players a complete, unbiased snapshot of their contributions on both ends of the floor - Directs players focus onto the most important areas for improvement - specific to their game - Allows players to measure their progress and validate their hard work - Creates a merit-based system that all players agree is fair (which reduces player and parent conflict over playing time) - Allows coaches to see past their own blind spots and creates player rotations that maximize wins and team performance This system values players that take care of the basketball, shoot a high percentage, and executes hustle plays that often differentiate the great teams from the mediocre teams. Check out the feedback (including a NCAA Final 4 coach) about [Coach Miles’s Value Point and Coaching Systems.]( I have known Danny Miles for over 35 years. Danny coached NAIA basketball in Oregon when I started my coaching career in Montana. Danny coached the game at a high level and would’ve been a successful coach anywhere at any level. His teams were well coached, disciplined and tough. Coaching against Danny at such a young age helped mold me as a coach. I got to see firsthand what a great coach looked like from every aspect. - Kelvin Sampson (Reached NCAA Final 4), Head Men’s Basketball Coach at University of Houston Since I started using the VPS, my winning percentage has increased as a coach and I believe was a major factor in my team’s success in reaching last year's championship game. It is a very effective system, and one that allows me to get the right combination of guys on the court. - Coach Simon Parker I enjoyed the Value Point system considerably. It can be used at any level of play. The thing that sets it apart from other systems it gives the overall view of a player. I was on a blog the other day and a coach said he didn't know how much he missed his point guard until he was out with an injury. (9ppg) (6asg), (5rpg), and (4spg). Those stats are not overwhelming, but he does a little bit of it all. If he would have had the Danny Miles Value system he would have understood his players performance before the injury. It puts highlights on the "little things" in basketball. I have always heard and said that the little things win the game. Coach Miles system highlights the little things and gives you a more accurate performance of a player, or a team. I recommend it to everyone. - Josh from Huntington, Texas 25% Early-Bird Discount Expires Tomorrow!
