Read my new op-ed in Sojourners. [Banner Image Alternative Text]( Friend, In the midst of a world burdened with hunger and conflict, our mission at Bread for the World has never been more critical. To that end, [we have shared an op-ed on the Sojourners website]( highlighting the grave humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where hunger grips the entirety of its population. As "virtually all families in Gaza are forced to skip meals daily..." and "the world stands amidst the gravest hunger crisis of our generation...”, these poignant truths from our op-ed serve as a stark reminder of the urgency of our calling. In this light, we invite you to reflect on the hardship faced by millions and join us in fervent prayer for those afflicted. Additionally, our faith compels us to go beyond reflection and prayer into action. As our piece evokes the words of Christ, "Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me," we are reminded of the imperative to act now. Join me as I continue to pray for the release of hostages, for a lasting ceasefire, and for peace to reign in the region. But as we pray, I want to urge you to also take a moment to [reach out to your representative](, urging them to support a supplemental humanitarian aid package that stands as a beacon of hope for so many. Your advocacy can drive a profound change and bring relief to those who continue to suffer. [Act Now]( Let us unite in purpose and action, for inaction is not an option. Together, let our voices echo in the halls of power and in the hearts of those we aim to serve. With Hope, [Placeholder alt text] Rev.
