Get involved to take positive political action. [Bread for the World]( Dear Friend, As a part of our Bread for the World community, you are sowing seeds of hope across the U.S. and the world. Your voice matters and makes a difference. Friend, I invite you to deepen your commitment by learning more about the annual [Offering of Letters to Congress](. Each year, people gather in churches, homes, on college campuses, and virtually to write letters to Members of Congress. These letters are both a positive political action and an offering to God. You can get involved by: - [Learning more]( about different ways to speak up for hunger on social media and in your community. - [Reaching out to your regional organizer]( who is ready to answer your questions and come alongside you as you advocate for a world where all God's children have the nutrition they need to survive and thrive. - [Emailing your members of Congress]( urging them to increase funding and improve policies and programs that affect people facing hunger and poverty, both here and around the world. Hundreds of offerings are held each year, resulting in tens of thousands of letters to Congress to advocate for an end to hunger. Because of the persistent advocacy efforts of friends like you, Bread for the World recently helped pass the Global Malnutrition Prevention and Treatment Act and the Global Food Security Reauthorization Act. We also helped secure funding for child nutrition benefits, such as school meals, in the recent omnibus package. Together, these bipartisan bills will improve the lives of tens of millions of women and young children around the world. Thank you for your commitment to ending hunger.
