Bread for the World members come from all walks of life and span a diversity of Christian faith traditions along with many others who just want to build a world without hunger. We are united by our commitment to ending hunger. For many members, faith is the core of why we work to end hunger. Since our founding in 1974, the policies and programs Bread fights for have impacted 320 million Americans and more than 7 billion people around the world. We’ve helped strengthen national nutrition programs, drastically reducing hunger in the U.S. We’ve also advocated to strengthen and improve U.S. international assistance, thus supporting the dramatic progress against hunger that many countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America have achieved. This progress shows that it is possible to end hunger in our lifetime, in the U.S. and abroad. As you discern how you are called to advocate, [I invite you to pray for an end to hunger](. When you join us in prayer, you will receive a timely prayer every two weeks that will nourish and inspire your faithful advocacy. [PRAY TO END HUNGER]( Over the years, we have seen countless times what we can accomplish when we come together and lift our voices. I am so excited to work with you as we strive to end hunger, both in the United States and around our world. In Christ, Rev.
