[REGISTER]( The Advocacy Summit is Bread’s signature event. During the summit, participants will have the opportunity to address child hunger through education and advocacy on the Farm Bill now up for reauthorization. We are honored to have USAID Administrator Samantha Power as a special guest speaker who will address the current state of global hunger. Additionally, we welcome our esteemed panelists who will speak on domestic hunger and the role of government and local institutions. Our panelists include USDA Deputy Secretary Kumar Chandran, Maryland Secretary of Human Services Rafael Lopez, and Miami Dade College Vice President and Provost Dr. Malou Harrison. The Farm Bill is our nation’s most important anti-hunger legislation. It sets the regulations and funding guidelines for most of the nation’s nutrition programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and international food aid. The bill is reauthorized every five years. Today, members of the House Agriculture Committee have released their next version of the Farm Bill. The Senate is also soon expected to release its full version of the bill. When you arrive in Washington in June, this legislation will be a top priority. It is vital that your members of Congress hear from you and understand your perspectives. [Register to join us now](, while there are still spots available!
