{NAME}, in a moment, I'm going to ask you to [make a donation to help Brady hit their critical $150,000 year-end goal]( but first, I hope you'll let me take a moment to share why their life-saving mission is so important to me. I lost my daughter, Jaime, in 2018. She was gunned down at her high school in Parkland, FL, along with 17 other innocent people. He was armed with a military-style assault weapon. Jaime will be forever 14 and instead of watching her dance on stage or seeing her graduate, I visit her at the cemetery. Her death changed our family forever, but through the grief, I’ve made it my life's work to make sure no other families have to experience this kind of devastation. Today, nearly five years later, it's still far too easy to obtain an assault rifle. That's because the NRA has continued to obstruct sensible gun reforms, like banning these weapons of war that could've saved Jaime's life. This continued indifference to preventable murder –– even after Uvalde –– is enraging, and that's why it's so important to support the essential work that Brady is doing. We can't let the NRA and its pocket politicians dictate who lives and dies in this country. That’s why Brady works every single day to take real, meaningful action and help pass the gun safety laws that are proven to save lives. And right now, they've helped build more momentum for change than we've had in years, but so much depends on the work we do in 2023 — and the resources we have to do it. Yet right now, even with all gifts MATCHED, Brady is falling dangerously short of their $150,000 year-end goal. The life-saving work Brady does next year depends on what we raise right now, and as a grassroots organization, they rely on donations from people like you: [Please, {NAME}, will you rush $5 or more now — every dollar you give will be DOUBLED — to help Brady hit their 2022 goal, defeat the NRA, and pass life-saving gun safety laws? Every contribution helps prevent future massacres like Parkland and Uvalde — and ensures no family ever has to feel the loss I do every day.]( [Give $5 >> becomes $10]( [Give $25 >> becomes $50]( [Give $50 >> becomes $100]( [Give another amount]( I hope you'll join us.
