There have been 27 school shootings this year alone, including the unconscionable tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX. Students there returned to school today, but to different buildings and a new reality. Even after 21 children and educators were senselessly gunned down in their classroom, too many of our elected leaders refuse to act or focus on the wrong solutions. Governor Greg Abbott has loosened Texas gun laws in recent years, in fact.
