I will never forget when President Biden promised me, personally, that he would sign gun safety legislation into law and he fulfilled that promise this weekend. This is a win for everyone in this movement – and this is a win for all of the families who we won’t get to know because they were spared from the reality of gun violence. But we cannot stop there, {NAME}. And after the Supreme Court’s deadly decision to allow virtually anyone to carry a concealed weapon anywhere, it’s more important than ever to continue this lifesaving work. This progress happened because we fought for gun violence prevention champions to all levels of government. It was our collective outcry following tragedies in Buffalo and Uvalde that pushed lawmakers to stand against the NRA and pass this bill.
