Over 100 people will die each day that we do not act. As a gun violence survivor, it’s hard to continue to watch these massacres happen, especially to children who are the same age as my youngest. It is hard to wrestle with my personal grief and trauma anew as I see so many people experiencing the loss that I did when my mother was shot and killed. It is hard to keep going some days, but I keep fighting because I know that we can change our country and stop more families from feeling this grief.
