As a Black woman attorney here at Brady, I see how racism and sexism combine such that Black women suffer disproportionate injury, death, and trauma from gun homicide, while ensuring that white men have disproportionate power to craft, and in many cases obstruct, gun violence prevention policy. These white men came after Judge Jackson during her confirmation hearings, determined to keep her off the bench.
