Plus farewell Brady Interns and "ghost guns" The blatant threats to our democracy continue, {NAME}. Just days ago, the Department of Homeland Security warned of rising threats of violence from Trump conspiracists. We must protect our democracy at all costs, {NAME}. And that includes by proactively guarding against threats of armed voter intimidation. Fortunately, Rep. Raul Ruiz (CA-36) just introduced life-saving legislation — the Vote Without Fear Act — to prevent armed intimation and safeguard our democratic process. This vital piece of legislation would prohibit firearms within 100 yards of a federal election site. It would, effectively, protect all voters on Election Day from armed intimidation. It shouldn’t be an uphill battle to pass this pro-democracy legislation. But Trump extremists and fringe groups will stop at nothing to prevent this bill from advancing in the House of Representatives. We can’t let them win. That’s why we need your help right now, friend. Will you urge your representatives in Congress to protect our democracy and support the Vote Without Fear Act? [SEND A MESSAGE TO CONGRESS >>]( Thank you for taking action alongside Brady. This is a vitally important issue that touches the core of our democracy — the right to vote. [Together, we will prevent armed intimation so all Americans can express their most sacred right without the fear of being shot and killed.]( LAST CHANCE: Take Action to Regulate “Ghost Guns” and Combat the NRA’s Misinformation This is what the NRA thinks about ghost guns, {NAME}: “Ghost gun is an invented term intended to scare.” “Ghosts are imaginary, and so is the problem this bill is trying to address.” But we know the truth: Ghost guns are real guns. They pose one of the greatest growing threats to our public safety in America. These homemade, untraceable firearms are designed to evade gun laws — and the NRA and gun lobby wants to keep it that way. That's why we need your help supporting President Biden’s rule to regulate ghost guns as the fully functioning firearms that they are. This is our last chance: The deadline to submit a comment is just six days away. Please, help us combat the NRA’s misinformation and submit a comment in support of President Biden’s rule to regulate ghost guns. [SUBMIT A COMMENT ]( My Last Will, a Youth-Led Campaign by Team ENOUGH and Change the Ref Have you checked out Team ENOUGH and Change the Ref’s #MyLastWill campaign? The new #MyLastWill campaign calls on Americans to create mock "last wills and testaments" in the event of your death by gun violence. Then, tag your senators as your “witnesses” and urge them to pass stronger gun laws.
