And they are nearly impossible for law enforcement to trace â No serial numbers. No regulations. No background checks. Thatâs why ghost guns are a growing murder weapon of choice among people who are legally prohibited from buying guns. But right now, we finally have the chance to close the so-called "ghost gun loophole" that allows these homemade firearms to evade existing gun laws. President Biden has called on the ATF to instate a rule that will stop the proliferation of ghost guns. But, {NAME}, the NRA and the gun lobby are doing everything they can to stop this lifesaving rule from becoming the law of the land.
