This past week, a six-year-old girl was shot and killed while walking home in Washington, D.C. In Chicago, a 12-year-old girl and four teenagers were shot and injured. Since last year, San Francisco police have recovered 164 ghost guns compared to the six they confiscated in 2015 — a 2600% increase. Ghost guns undermine California's strong gun laws and threaten public safety: They’ve been used in robberies, shootings, and homicides, including the murders of two students at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California.
