Tell the DNC: Congress MUST act

President Biden said it best in his powerful address last night: “If we care about public safety, we need to prevent gun violence.” Biden has worked to do that during his presidency, having passed the first major bipartisan gun safety law in 30 years, and I want to know that our elected officials are going to continue that legacy of action and actually DO something about the rampant gun violence plaguing our country. [Right now, all eyes are on Chicago as thousands of Democrats are gathered for the convention. Since 2018, we've seen some progress — in 2022, Congress passed the first meaningful gun safety legislation in 30 years — but it's not enough. There is so much more action that is needed, from banning assault weapons to universal background checks and more, in order to finally end gun violence in America.
