I am reaching out because once again, our nation has been rocked by another tragic and preventable mass shooting. {NAME}, I am reaching out because once again, our nation has been rocked by another tragic and preventable mass shooting â the 190th this year alone. Earlier today in Atlanta, one person was killed and at least four others were injured when a gunman opened fire in a medical building. Our thoughts go out to the victims and their families during this unimaginable time. From banks and supermarkets to concerts and medical facilities, no place in our country is safe from the threat of gun violence. And no place will ever be safe until we change our country's deadly gun culture and pass commonsense gun safety legislation. The fact of the matter is that these tragedies are 100% preventable, and we have the power to enact the change necessary to save lives. What it will take is all of us coming together to demand action on gun violence. To use our power as citizens to vote out the gun lobby's puppets in Congress and send gun safety champions in their place. I won't lie and say it'll be easy â but this fight is too important for us to sit on the sidelines as communities and families are continuing to be ripped apart by tragedy after tragedy.
