Sandy Hook, Robb Elementary, Covenant School, how many more? [The Hill]( "House Judiciary postpones pistol brace rule markup after Nashville shooting" Just one day after three children were murdered by a shooter utilizing 3 firearms — among them a pistol with a stabilizing brace — gun extremists in the House canceled a scheduled hearing to discuss regulating these types of weapons. [We will never end gun violence in America with gun lobby extremists in leadership. That's why we are working to replace them with candidates who will take action to PROTECT our children and communities. Chip in just $5 ahead of our end-of-month deadline to help us unseat gun extremists in 2024 >>]( [DONATE >>]( In the wake of this week's tragedy in Nashville, the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Jim Jordan, postponed a scheduled hearing to discuss putting more restrictions on pistols with stabilizing braces and implementing registration measures for current owners. The reason? “Democrats were going to turn this tragic event into a political thing." Sandy Hook, Robb Elementary, Covenant School. In the aftermath of these attacks, gun lobby shills are always quick to use some version of "now is not the time," when asked to take action by the constituents that they represent. Passing common-sense gun safety legislation in times of crisis is not a "political thing." It's a necessary step to prevent this tragic cycle of mass shootings from repeating over and over again. But the far-right zealots that are in the pocket of the gun lobby are not willing to put their re-election campaign checks on the line and take a stand. And we've had enough. [We're working to elect strong gun safety leaders who actually give a d*mn about their constituents' lives, about their children, and about their communities. Help us by making a donation of $5 or whatever you can afford to support our work ahead of our end-of-month deadline >>]( Thank you, Brady PAC [Brady PAC]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( If you prefer to donate by mail, please make checks payable to: Brady PAC, c/o Digital 600 Pennsylvania Ave SE, #15180, Washington, D.C. 20003 Paid for by Brady Pac (bradypac.org) and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee [You can unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time.](
