Iowans passed an amendment that puts the right to bear arms in the state constitution. [Brady PAC]( Gun safety was on the ballot this Election Day. While we secured a major victory in Oregon, where a historic gun safety ballot measure was passed – we faced a devastating blow in Iowa. Iowans passed an amendment that puts the right to bear arms broadly in the state constitution. This deceptively worded amendment will make it much harder for gun safety legislation to be passed in the state, putting Iowan's lives at risk. Iowa already has some of the loosest gun laws in the nation, and gun extremists hope this amendment will block any gun safety legislation from being passed in the state for years to come. This is horrifying – which is why we're fighting back. With the midterm election behind us, we're turning our attention to gun violence prevention in the states, and we need your help. [If you're with us in the fight to end gun violence, rush a donation right away to help us work state by state to stand up to the gun lobby, pass gun safety legislation, and keep our communities safe.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [$5 →]( [$10 →]( [$25 →]( [$50 →]( [$100 →]( [Other →]( Thanks, Brady PAC  [Brady PAC]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( If you prefer to donate by mail, please make checks payable to: Brady PAC, c/o Digital 600 Pennsylvania Ave SE, #15180, Washington, D.C. 20003 Paid for by Brady Pac (bradypac.org) and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee [You can unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time.](
