Police then arrested the man for unlawful possession of a weapon. The 31-year-old suspect loaded two pistols and approached witnesses, asking where the over 25,000 concertgoers would be exiting the venue. A potential mass shooting was narrowly avoided, and no one at the music festival lost their life to gun violence that night. But this isn’t a “feel good” story. If it had not been for the vigilance of these few witnesses, Grant County, WA, could have been next on the list of tragic mass shootings in the U.S., following number 423.
