No more carnage in our schools. [Brady PAC]( {NAME}, For millions of American students, this next month marks the beginning of the school year. But even children know that back to school in America doesn’t just mean going back to football games and cafeteria lunches – it means going back to school shooter drills. Since the 1999 massacre in Columbine High School that ended the lives of 12 and injured 24, incidents of school shootings have skyrocketed. School shootings have now killed or injured at least 554 children, teachers, and school staff, and have exposed 311,000 children to gun violence in the very place where they should feel safest. Children are the future of our country, but they’re being murdered, maimed, and traumatized EVERY DAY in their own schools. We are SICK of thoughts and prayers. We are SICK thinking about families sending their children back to school, not knowing if it will be the last time they see them alive. We will not allow this to continue. [Our only hope of ending this carnage is to pass COMPREHENSIVE gun safety legislation, and that means expanding our Gun Violence Prevention Majority in Congress. But the NRA is spending millions to put their blood brothers in Congress. Rush a $10 donation NOW to fight to keep our children safe from gun violence! Donate >>]( Due to DECADES of inaction by Congress, both students and their parents have been forced to prepare themselves to be the next victims of the latest school massacre. Feeling safe in a classroom (or a grocery store, mall, or movie theater, for that matter) – is now a privilege relegated to a distant past. It is a SHAMEFUL and PATHETIC reflection on our elected officials that children have to armor themselves with bulletproof backpacks to retain any semblance of safety, having no choice but to risk their lives just to get an education. But the NRA hacks in Congress are happy to keep putting guns in the hands of school shooters as long as the blood money continues rolling in. These extremists are the biggest roadblock to ending this reoccurring American nightmare, and the Gun Violence Prevention Majority that’s fighting back is in critical danger. We are LONG overdue for the common-sense gun safety legislation the country needs to make our children’s schools safe, but we won’t ever get these policies passed if gun extremists take over Congress in November. [With less than 80 days until Election Day, we need this grassroots team to take action NOW. On behalf of kids going back to school across the country in the coming weeks, we're asking for your help to elect new leaders who will stop gun violence today.
