Midland and Odessa

{NAME}, Yesterday, in the Texas cities of Midland and Odessa, a gunman opened fire along highways and roads in a stolen postal truck. The mass drive-by shootings left 7 dead and 24 injured. This tragedy takes place less than one month after a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas that took the lives of more than 20 innocent Americans. Between the shooting in El Paso and the shootings yesterday in Midland and Odessa, Congress did nothing to prevent gun violence. The Senate could have returned from recess to pass the growing pile of gun violence prevention bills that the House has already passed, but they chose not to do so.
