Gilroy Garlic Festival

{NAME}, Last night as festival-goers were enjoying the end of the long-revered Gilroy Garlic Festival, a gunman opened fire killing three individuals and injuring 12 others. This tragedy followed an attack at a festival in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, that killed one and injured 11 more. Today we add festivals to the list of places where people have to be afraid of being a victim of gun violence. Today we add two more communities to the list of those who suffered the traumatic experience of a mass shooting. And today we add three more families to the list of those who have lost loved ones to senseless acts of violence. All of this suffering is preventable, but the NRA continues to block any sensible gun violence prevention laws that will save American lives. [We need to end the senseless violence once and for all.
