Hey there,
Happy Independence Day! I hope you’re finding a way to enjoy yourself and stay cool today.
I’ll be celebrating with my family here at the lake we’re visiting, and we’re going for the full traditional 4th of July experience. We’ll be grilling some hamburgers, baking a cute cake, and maybe even lighting some sparklers for the kids when the sun goes down.
Sure, this year feels different than years past, but it’s important to me to keep these traditions alive anyway.
I like sharing them with my kids and using this holiday as a way to remind them of our country’s history and all the opportunities we have that other countries do not.
Think about this. In the US, anyone can go to school. Anyone can pursue their dream. Anyone can open a business of their own.
And anyone can open an account and start investing.
When I consider the fact that I was able to work my way up from $2000 to $2,000,000 in a few years using nothing but my wits, [a simple pattern I found]( and a brokerage account, I’m still in awe.
And when I think about the fact that I now get to help others do the same kind of thing, I’m even more humbled.
Yes, America has gone through some rocky patches in the past, and we’re in the middle of one again, but what other country offers this kind of opportunity and social mobility for literally each and every citizen?
No other country has a better system for people of modest means to achieve success.
I mean, I’m a work-from-home full time mom, and I still found a way to find massive financial success. In so many other places, I would never have been able to achieve this.
So yeah, this 4th of July, we might have to wear a mask, and we might not be able to go to the beach, and all of that is really annoying, but it’s not the end of our story.
It’s not even the most important part.
Here’s what is most important.
No matter where you are in life, no matter your age, your education level, your gender, or your past…
You still have endless opportunities available to you here in the USA.
I think that’s something worth celebrating. I hope you do, too.
