When we ran that poll a month or two ago, Jonah was exactly tied with Ephesians for the book we should all read together… So I thought we’d come back and go through Ephesians together bit by bit! It’s an incredible book and really deeply detailed, I think we’ll enjoy going through it. So let’s start with Ephesians 3:11! No that’d be silly, let’s start at the beginning! Ephesians 1: 1-6 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. This book starts with an introduction, like all of Paul’s letters. And this one is pretty happy! He calls the people of Ephesus “faithful in Christ Jesus,” which is a far cry from Jonah, right?! One phrase that jumps out to me from this passage is how God “has blessed us… with every spiritual blessing…” How true is that? It’s hard to remember that spiritual blessings don’t always mean material blessings. I mean God gives us plenty of those, too. Even if you don’t have as much money as you might want, you’re reading this on a computer or phone somewhere, you probably have clothes on your back and a roof over your head. Those are huge blessings! But spiritual blessings are even more important! As Paul says, “God chose us in Jesus before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.” WHOA! What?! I don’t know about you but I don’t feel very blameless most days. In fact, I feel pretty blame...ful… Blameful? Is that a word? Spell check isn’t correcting it, so I guess it is! But whatever the right word, I feel like I make a lot of mistakes, and I’m anything but holy and blameless. So how can we possibly be holy and blameless in God’s site? Well because God chose us in Jesus! It’s all because of what the Savior has done for us. And that’s pretty spectacular. So what does that mean for us as traders? Well, it means that we definitely don’t have to live and die by every trade we place. We can’t let one loss make us feel worthless, and we can’t make one win make us feel more important than God. We’ve got to remember our place. And for traders, that means when you make mistakes, you can forgive yourself because God forgives you! If you get too high or low as a trader, you’re going to head for trouble. So remember your place, and you’ll do just fine! One more thing before I quit, my dear friend Markay Latimer is hosting an awesome presentation on Tuesday June 30 at 1:00 PM. She’s going to show traders a method she uses to trade just 30 minutes a day but target $1,000 a month. You don’t want to miss it! [Check it out here](. Remember who you are!
