I thought you might be interested in hearing what it's really like to work on a congressional campaign that is this close only 14 days before the election. [First of all, every penny that comes in is crucial, and in a second I'll tell you why. If you can donate, please do.]( [DONATE]( As campaign manager, I do a lot of work in my pajamas – up late, and before dawn. Yes, there's a lot of coffee involved. You would not believe the number of emails and texts that come in every day! It's important work, and I'm not alone. First, we have a great field team. Their office is a mess because they're busy organizing door-knocking and our volunteer effort all over the district. There are a lot of voters, and we want to talk to every single one. We also have an intrepid finance team that keeps gas in the tank, TV ads on the air, and the rent on the office paid. They want me to ask you to chip in a couple of bucks to help. [CHIP IN]( And we have a truly amazing candidate in Christina. She is smart, resilient, and unbelievably hard-working. I have absolutely no doubt that she was meant to be in Congress, and she will represent us so well there (yes, I live in this district, so she'll be my Congresswoman too). I'm going to get real for a second. The biggest obstacle facing us right now is the $3 MILLION DOLLARS in ads attacking our candidate. You may have seen them and yes, we know that they're awful. [We need your help to answer them and set the record straight. This isn't the finance team asking, it's me and Christina. Can you help us fight back?]( [FIGHT BACK]( This is getting long – thanks for reading it all. Please be in touch anytime, and we're so glad to have you with us as we work toward a win in IA-01. Onward! SarahP Christina Bohannan is a mom, law professor, former engineer, and State Representative. She's running to represent Iowa's 1st Congressional District in Congress because she believes everyone deserves a fair shot. [Can we count on you to chip in a few dollars to Christina's campaign?]( [DONATE NOW »]( [DONATE WEEKLY »]( Christina Bohannan is running to represent Iowa's 1st Congressional District.
