[Bohannan for Congress logo]( Hi {NAME}, I wanted to reach out to wish all those celebrating this weekend a happy Fatherâs Day! I want to share a little bit about my father. My dad was a construction worker. He worked outside in the hot sun every day to support our family, but despite his hard work, we still had to scrape to get by. [A photo of Christina's father beside a photo of Christina and her father.]( When I was in high school, my dad got sick with emphysema. When he was no longer able to work, his health insurance was canceled and my family had to choose between paying for his medication or paying for everything else. His story is like many Iowansâ â people who are working hard and still living paycheck to paycheck. I am running for Congress to fight for people like my dad â people who work hard and deserve a fair shot at getting ahead without worrying about being one bad break away from not making ends meet. Fighting for a government that doesnât leave anyone behind is a central value of this campaign. This Fatherâs Day weekend, Iâll be thinking about my dad and the dads and father figures across southeast Iowa. I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family!
