[Bob Casey for Senate]( Team — this is a longer email, but I wanted to give you a candid update on the state of the race and what we’re seeing on the ground in Pennsylvania. I’ll get into more detail in a second, but here’s the TLDR: If Bob loses here in PA, Democrats have no chance of holding the Senate and the White House. Here’s an important update on the state of our race that I created for our team so you understand the stakes ahead of us — but if you’re ready to make a donation right now, you can do so here: [( Key Race Updates Polls are tightening. - A recent poll shows that our lead is slipping. - Pennsylvania will be the tipping point that decides the Senate majority in November, and we simply cannot afford to fall behind. We are being outraised. - David McCormick outraised us last quarter, and a super PAC supporting him raised nearly $18 million so far. - What’s more, David McCormick has the full support of national Republicans and out-of-state billionaires who are ready to flood PA with millions upon millions to flip this seat red. Billionaires are trying to buy this seat. - A dark money super PAC made a $1 million ad buy in PA to boost our opponent and attack Bob Casey. - Our opponent and the National Republican Senatorial Committee just launched their first TV ad, with more likely to come. Political experts and news outlets across the country have identified our race as one to watch. - NBC’s Ali Vitali called this race “one of the most consequential re-election battles in the country.” - MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said the Pennsylvania Senate race will be the “showdown of showdowns” in 2024. - The Cook Political Report identified Pennsylvania as one of Mitch McConnell’s top three targets. Pennsylvania is a key battleground. - The Commonwealth has a long history of deciding Presidential elections and Senate control. - It happened in 2016, in 2020, and again in 2022. - There’s no doubt in my mind that PA will once again be the linchpin that decides the Senate and the White House in 2024. David McCormick is wrong for Pennsylvania. - David McCormick lives in Connecticut and bragged about spending only half his time in the Commonwealth. - As CEO of his hedge fund, he oversaw a 108,000% increase in investments in China. - McCormick got rich by outsourcing jobs to China and India while laying off workers in Pennsylvania. What Comes Next: We need the resources to fight back against the tsunami of GOP money headed our way and make the case to voters about the threat McCormick poses to PA. [With that said, will you rush $5 to re-elect Bob and protect our narrow Senate Majority?]( Those are the stakes, team. If we’re going to keep this seat, the Senate, and the White House blue, Bob and I need your help. That’s why I’m asking one more time: [Can you pitch in $5 or more today?]( Please use the links in this email to start a monthly donation through ActBlue.
