You're getting this message because you’ve supported good causes and Democratic candidates. We need your support to continue fighting for our democracy. We love having you in our network, but if you no longer wish to hear from us, you can [unsubscribe here](. I have 15 minutes of free time before my next debate prep, {NAME}. It may not sound like much — but I’ve been working long hours in Congress to avoid a government shutdown, and any gap in my schedule is rare. So, as I’m checking in with my wife, Eve, and catching up on some emails, I’m reflecting on this campaign — the most competitive California has seen in three decades — and I’ve decided I need to tell you a bit more about my decision to run for U.S. Senate. Throughout my time as an assistant U.S. attorney, California state Senator, and member of Congress, I’ve always tried to do the most good for the most people. There is a tenet I’ve carried with me that is central to my Jewish faith — “Tikkun Olam.” Repairing the world. Lately, there’s been a lot that has broken, and a lot to fix. It’s been my cause. It’s why I get up in the morning. When Speaker Nancy Pelosi tasked me with investigating and impeaching Donald Trump. When she asked me to help investigate the Capitol insurrection on the January 6 Committee. I’ve carried that with me. I’ve carried it with me on this campaign, too. People struggling to afford the cost of living and or sending their kids to daycare or college. People struggling to afford their medications. People worrying about what our climate will look like ten, twenty years from now as we are routinely ravaged by drought, mudslides, and wildfires today. Yes, there is a lot that is broken. And there’s a lot to fix. But there’s also a lot of good in the world, too. The people I’ve met on the campaign trail remind me why this work is so important. And the people like you, supporting this campaign a couple bucks at a time, so we can do good work. That’s why I’m running. And now, our primary race is within the margin of error just hours from our first televised debate. It’s critical that we win this race. We need to abolish the filibuster. Expand the Supreme Court. Overturn Citizens United. And protect reproductive freedom. [My 15 minutes are almost up, {NAME}: I don’t take corporate PAC money, so if you believe in this campaign and want to help me join our Democratic Senate majority and take the fight to Republicans, will you chip in a split $10 between Blue Amp Action and my campaign today?]( [DONATE NOW]( Thank you, — Adam [DONATE]( Cliff Schecter President, Blue Amp Action Amplify Good Follow Us Blue Amp Action PAC PO Box 8384, Cincinnati, OH 45208 Having trouble viewing this email? [View it in your web browser]( About BlueAmp Action: We cannot sugarcoat the current situation. Right-wing authoritarianism, defeated by a worldwide coalition during WWII, was only in hibernation. Over the past decade it has infected democratic societies--including ours. It is as simple as it is terrifying: What we do now will define the future of our country and world. We at Blue Amp Action are dedicated to liberal, open societies, where reason and science are applied to solve our problems; where civil rights--including voting rights!--are protected for all. We fight for these values every day. Speaking up on our platforms, raising the voices and the political prospects of liberal pols and pundits. And savvy grassroots activists like you know, just like we do, that we can’t stop watching the people we help elect: after the elections, we have to keep organizing support for the policies we like and pushing back against the ones we don’t. When the public tunes out between elections and the only people our elected officials hear from are the paid lobbyists of wealthy corporations, our government stops being accountable to the needs of ordinary families. Democracy never sleeps, and neither can we. So we ask that you support our work, so we can continue to engage in this fight every moment of every day. So our kids grow up in democracy, not dystopia. Thank you for your support for all we do!
