I need your help: You're getting this message because you’ve supported good causes and Democratic candidates. We need your support to continue fighting for our democracy. We love having you in our network, but if you no longer wish to hear from us, you can [unsubscribe](.   {NAME}, A month or two ago I wrote to you with a big announcement: my friend and former Senate counsel Josh Riley is running for Congress in New York’s 19th District – one of the most competitive races in the country. Now I’m back with an even bigger announcement: Josh is running for Congress in one of the most competitive races in the country… AND his wife just had a baby! [While Josh is catching sleep in 30-minute increments and cleaning up spit-up, I’m pitching in to make sure his fundraising doesn’t look like a dirty diaper. So I have to ask, will you split a contribution between Blue Amp Action and Josh’s campaign today?]( [DONATE NOW!]( You know who’s probably getting a full night's sleep? Josh’s opponent, Marc Molinaro. In fact, he’s probably dreaming about taking away someone’s rights, rolling back gun safety legislation or blocking progress on clean energy – he’s only been in Congress a couple of months and he’s already done all that and more! We need someone like Josh in Congress – he’s the real deal. [Al Franken and Josh Riley]( really tall guy is Josh.) After graduating from Harvard Law School, Josh worked on a landmark civil rights lawsuit to help kids from low-income families get access to healthcare. When I was in the Senate, Josh and I passed bills expanding rights for survivors of domestic abuse and providing new funding for addiction treatment and mental health programs. And since then, Josh has fought in the Supreme Court to block the Trump Administration’s Muslim Ban and plans to deport Dreamers. Even before he was a dad, Josh was always looking out for the little guy. [So what do you say, {NAME}? Will you split $15 or whatever you can (or more than you can) between Blue Amp Action and my friend Josh Riley to help him win one of the most important races in the country in 2024?]( Thanks, Al [P.S. I like the P.S. because it’s one more opportunity to ask for a donation. So donate now!]( [DONATE NOW!](     Cliff Schecter President, Blue Amp Action Amplify Good   Follow Us [Twitter]( [LinkedIn]( Blue Amp Action PAC PO Box 8384, Cincinnati, OH 45208   About BlueAmp Action: We cannot sugarcoat the current situation. Right-wing authoritarianism, defeated by a worldwide coalition during WWII, was only in hibernation. Over the past decade it has infected democratic societies--including ours. It is as simple as it is terrifying: What we do now will define the future of our country and world. We at Blue Amp Action are dedicated to liberal, open societies, where reason and science are applied to solve our problems; where civil rights--including voting rights!--are protected for all. We fight for these values every day. Speaking up on our platforms, raising the voices and the political prospects of liberal pols and pundits. And savvy grassroots activists like you know, just like we do, that we can’t stop watching the people we help elect: after the elections, we have to keep organizing support for the policies we like and pushing back against the ones we don’t. When the public tunes out between elections and the only people our elected officials hear from are the paid lobbyists of wealthy corporations, our government stops being accountable to the needs of ordinary families. Democracy never sleeps, and neither can we. So we ask that you support our work, so we can continue to engage in this fight every moment of every day. So our kids grow up in democracy, not dystopia. Thank you for your support for all we do!
