We need your support to continue fighting for our democracy. We love having you in our network, but if you no longer wish to hear from us, you can[unsubscribe here](. {NAME} – My name is Shawn Harris. I am a recently-retired United States Army Brigadier General, a grandfather, and a proud son of Georgia – I am a Democrat running for Congress to unseat Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. My opponent is likely the reason you’ve heard of our campaign, but I want to take an opportunity to introduce myself and explain why I am looking to take her on. I was born and raised on my family’s farm in Blakely, Georgia. When I was a child, my father was killed by a drunk driver, leaving my family in grief and threatening our livelihood. In the wake of our tragedy, the community came together to harvest our crops and lift my family up with love, faith, and support. I learned a lot from that experience, lessons that stick with me today – the power of a connected community, the importance of dedicated service, and the significance of giving a hand to those in need. Not only did we successfully harvest that year’s crop, but with the support of friends, family, and strangers, we planted seeds of future prosperity and recovery. I carried these foundational values with me into my career serving the United States in uniform over the last 40 years. Now that I’ve retired from the armed services, I am faced with a choice: do I enjoy my retirement or continue my service to my country in another way, with a run for Congress? I cannot sit by while Congresswoman Greene continues to betray Georgia values and embarrass our country at home and abroad. It is my patriotic duty to continue serving my country, to challenge Ms. Greene to answer for her divisiveness, and to restore dignity to northern Georgia. [There are too many reasons to count why northern Georgia needs a change, but I hope in this message I gave you at least one to support me. If you’re on board, will you make a donation right now to help us launch our campaign?]( [DONATE NOW]( We will be in touch more as we get our campaign up and running. But please know you are central to our success. The only way we win this race is by working together in the same way the community did after the death of my father, by building a campaign of humility, dignity, and respect from the grassroots. Thank you for being on our team. Let’s get to work, Shawn Harris Candidate – Georgia 14 United States House of Representatives [DONATE NOW]( Cliff Schecter President, Blue Amp Action Amplify Good About BlueAmp Action: We cannot sugarcoat the current situation. Right-wing authoritarianism, defeated by a worldwide coalition during WWII, was only in hibernation. Over the past decade it has infected democratic societies--including ours. It is as simple as it is terrifying: What we do now will define the future of our country and world. We at Blue Amp Action are dedicated to liberal, open societies, where reason and science are applied to solve our problems; where civil rights--including voting rights!--are protected for all. We fight for these values every day. Speaking up on our platforms, raising the voices and the political prospects of liberal pols and pundits. So we ask that you support our work, so we can continue to engage in this fight every moment of every day. So our kids grow up in democracy, not dystopia. Thank you for your support for all we do!
