One glaring example of this is in Alabama, where a panel of federal judges expressed deep concerns about the congressional district map drawn by the GOP majority, which effectively denied fair representation to Black communities. Another alarming case is in Wisconsin, where Republicans have engineered legislative maps so skewed that it's nearly impossible for Democrats to gain control of the state legislature. Gerrymandering allows the minority to overrule the majority, and it has no place in our democratic system. Efforts to combat this issue in Congress have been met with resistance, as Republicans have filibustered bills like the For the People Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, which aimed to address gerrymandering. [But we can't let this stand. We must demand that Congress takes action to ban partisan gerrymandering and protect the integrity of our elections.
