Sign the petition to President Biden: Hold states accountable for their rushed purges of low-income Americans from Medicaid. [Sign on now →]( {NAME}, Medicaid is a lifeline for over 90 million vulnerable individuals in the United States, providing crucial healthcare support to low-income children, pregnant women, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities. However, the future of Medicaid access is at risk, and we need your urgent action to ensure its protection. At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act was enacted to ensure that people remain continuously enrolled in state Medicaid programs until the end of the public health emergency. This provision was tied to enhanced federal funding. However, in 2022, Congress decided to end this critical continuous enrollment provision on March 31, 2023. The consequences are dire. Between 7.8 million and 24.4 million individuals, including millions of children, could lose their vital Medicaid coverage as states move to remove residents from the program. [{NAME}, we need you to act. Sign the petition to President Biden: Hold states accountable for their rushed purges of low-income Americans from Medicaid.]( [Add Your Name!]( The majority of those losing coverage were dropped due to technicalities rather than being ineligible based on income limits. Such carelessness threatens the healthcare access of countless low-income Americans, especially at a time when equitable access to COVID-related resources is crucial. President Biden has emphasized the need to slow down the purge to prevent administrative errors. However, more decisive action is required. It's time for his administration to publicly identify states facing serious issues, utilize their granted authority to monitor Medicaid processes and hold states accountable by withholding funding if improper purges continue. The health and well-being of millions of Americans are in jeopardy. [We urge you to join us in demanding that President Biden takes immediate action to protect Medicaid access and prevent millions from losing their essential healthcare coverage.]( [SIGN YOUR NAME!](     Cliff Schecter President, Blue Amp Action Amplify Good   Follow Us [Twitter]( [LinkedIn]( Blue Amp Strategies 1776 Mentor Ave. #411 | Norwood, Ohio 45212 513.438.0171 | info@blueampaction.com   About BlueAmp Action: We cannot sugarcoat the current situation. Right-wing authoritarianism, defeated by a worldwide coalition during WWII, was only in hibernation. Over the past decade it has infected democratic societies--including ours. It is as simple as it is terrifying: What we do now will define the future of our country and world. We at Blue Amp Action are dedicated to liberal, open societies, where reason and science are applied to solve our problems; where civil rights--including voting rights!--are protected for all. We fight for these values every day. Speaking up on our platforms, raising the voices and the political prospects of liberal pols and pundits. And savvy grassroots activists like you know, just like we do, that we can’t stop watching the people we help elect: after the elections, we have to keep organizing support for the policies we like and pushing back against the ones we don’t. When the public tunes out between elections and the only people our elected officials hear from are the paid lobbyists of wealthy corporations, our government stops being accountable to the needs of ordinary families. Democracy never sleeps, and neither can we. So we ask that you support our work, so we can continue to engage in this fight every moment of every day. So our kids grow up in democracy, not dystopia. Thank you for your support for all we do!
