This harmful law sets a dangerous precedent, putting immigrants at risk of becoming the target of similar attacks in their home states. Here are a few things that are included in this bill: - Providing transportation to undocumented people from outside Florida into the state is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, no matter whether they are family, friends or coworkers. - Out-of-state driver licenses for undocumented people are no longer valid in Florida. - Hospitals are now required to ask for a patient’s immigration status. We all know the vital role that immigrants play in our communities, yet DeSantis and the Florida legislature are attacking every aspect of our lives through this harmful law.
